I wouldn't be voting down @jdb252 however it wasn't just Diebold but a couple other vendors as well. The software is designed to vote rig elections. They are 100% proprietary and the vendors aggressively disavow any problem, and never allow constituents, or voting officials to question the accuracy of the machines.
