If you employ someone and promise them a wage, I feel it is your duty to pay them what you promised, undocumented or not. However, employing those at the cost of American jobs is counter-productive for this nation.
I am also a firm believer in the fact the federal government does NOT own your labor. They should not be documenting people in I-9 forms in the first place. American job owners should have independent mechanisms for checking job applicants. The labor between you and your employer is your own business, not regulated by the government.
Regardless of my feelings and beliefs, it IS ILLEGAL to employ undocumented workers from other countries.
This new video by the Obama administration is nuts.
